Local author Carol Foreman will give a talk and slideshow about  “Rutherglen Shops: Then and Now”.  Comprising a PowerPoint presentation of some interesting photos of Old Rutherglen. The talk will explore some of the history behind Old Rutherglen shops and where they were located.

Carol has written many books about Glasgow History and Scotland and is a very interesting local author.   Being from Rutherglen , Carol has taken a great interest in the Rutherglen Heritage Centre since it began in 2010 and has contributed many hours work improving our photos and maps collection.
